Therapeutic Yoga
Reclaim your agency, ground your calm, integrate your wholeness.
If you’re living with trauma or post-traumatic stress, yoga can be part of your path toward healing.
Our approach draws on therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery—recognised in trauma research for supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and a greater sense of integration in young people and adults.
These specialised sessions offer a calm, grounded space to reconnect with the body, restore agency, and support healing alongside professional trauma therapy.
Ways we work
Sessions unfold through conversation and mindful somatic practice, shaped around your needs and held within a non-judgemental, trauma-informed framework that honours your pace, autonomy, and inner wisdom.
Women’s yoga for PTSD
Launched in 2022, this ongoing programme assists women living with trauma and post-traumatic stress—nurturing self-trust within a supportive small-group environment.
1:1 Trauma-informed Yoga
These one-to-one sessions offer trauma-informed support for healing and reconnection to your body in a safe, personalised, and compassionate space.
“I have grown as a person. This programme has helped me to commit to something fully. My anxiety is much less now, as I’ve been given a safe place and tools to deal with this. My body is in a more relaxed state. I don’t feel in fight or flight mode all the time. I have learned to calm my body before reacting negatively which was a massive issue for me. Thank you, for creating such a calm and safe place for me to improve, I can’t really express how much this has helped me and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to join. I now have skills in my tool belt that I’ll be able to use forever.”
— E.M.
Past initiatives
Youth Yoga
Pioneered in 2021, this programme supported young people in Golden Bay through practices that helped build confidence, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing .
“Starting yoga over the past year has opened my eyes. During classes, I notice how calm and centred I feel and over time the improvement has started to show. I feel the importance of doing a simple yoga practice daily or once a week. A time to step away from everyday life and reconnect.”
